I first began Ju-Jitsu as a student in an after-school club; each session fueling my passion for the sport and its culture.  Ju-Jitsu introduced me to the concept that women could actually coach and through shadowing Sensei Mumtaz Khan as part of a work experience placement, I was inspired due to having positive role models, that I too could achieve and become a role model for others providing opportunities and imperative skills in others.  This is one of the reasons I find coaching fulfilling upon seeing individuals’ accomplishments.  For me, Ju-Jitsu is not simply a hobby but a way of life and I am where I am today due to the support from the Ju-Jitsu family.

My future goals are to continue coaching as well as becoming a qualified Physiotherapist.
